31 Jan Here’s the hard truth about growing your business
As a business coach, based in Staffordshire, I’m often counted on to deliver a difficult truth to my clients. My role is definitely not being a ‘Yes’ person. My clients expect me to be truthful and sometimes, that can be a hard truth to hear.
One of the hardest truths to grasp is:
“What got you here, won’t get you there”
In other words, what you’ve done up to this point to grow your business has got it to this stage, but to take it further, you will need to do different things.
At the beginning of your business, you needed to put in the hours and work hard.
Everything depended on you.
The problem now is that your business has grown, and you still believe that working harder is your way forward.
You’re working longer days to try and keep up, with work sneaking into your weekends.
It’s starting to impact your home life and possibly your health, with stress headaches or picking up colds more frequently.
Your sleep is being impacted as your brain struggles to switch off, and you wake in the night thinking of something else that needs to be done.
Your belief that working harder will get you out of this is actually counter-productive.
It’s making you tired, overwhelmed and unable to focus, Your decision-making ablity is being impacted and you simply don’t have the time to think clearly.
So, what if moving your business to the next level actually needed you to work LESS?
You see how that can be an uncomfortable truth for many business owners?
Doing less starts with stepping back from your busy day-to-day, taking time out to think, getting clear on your goals, and then figuring out the easiest way for you to achieve them.
Often this will require support from someone who is experienced in working with business owners like you, understands your challenges and will give you support, advice and strategies to implement.
If you’re curious how I may be able to help you, then please take the step now to working smarter and not harder, and book in a complimentary strategy call.
