The loudest noise in your business

The loudest noise in your business

Some exciting things have been coming up for my clients recently, but interestingly, they weren’t the first things that they wanted to sort out when we started working together.

This is probably the same in your business.

The best way I can describe it is like this. Imagine you are sitting at your desk and you can hear a large digger right outside your window, digging up the road.

After a few minutes the digger stops, and you suddenly become aware of the sound of a neighbour mowing the grass.

Then a little while later they stop, and you realise that the radio is playing in your office, on low volume.

You switch it off, sit back at your desk, and your ears tune in to the sound of you laptop quietly burring away.

While the digger was outside, you couldn’t hear the sound of the lawnmower or the radio, never mind your laptop.

It’s only when the loudest noise stops, that you become aware of the next one, and so on.

Now, instead of the noise, swap this for whatever is irritating you in your business, or causing you the most concern.

It’s only when you’ve dealt with this, that you’ll then become aware of the next thing to deal with.

So go and sort out your ‘loudest noise’ and then you’ll become aware of the next one, and the next one.

Sometimes the loudest noise isn’t the thing that will make the biggest difference to your business, but you won’t be able to hear what this is until you sort out that loudest noise.

It may be the equivalent of the burring laptop that gives you a breakthrough in your business.
