Five essential steps to achieve your 2024 goals

Happy New Year!

I hope you managed some time to rest over the past couple of weeks, to enable you to reset and refocus as we head into the new year?

You may be thinking about your business goals for 2024 right now, or perhaps you’ve already set them? Most business owners tend to do this around now.

You may also have started drawing up a plan for how you’re going to achieve them. Lots of business owners also do this.

These are the first two steps to achieving your goals, 1. Set The Goals and 2. Reverse Engineer into a Plan.

However, lots of business owners don’t get round to doing the next three steps, which is why, come the middle of the year, little progress tends to have happened.

Step 3 is to understand the resources and tools you need in place to deliver the plan. For example, where do you need to invest in training or equipment? Where do you need to hire or outsource?

Step 4 is identifying what support you need in place to keep motivated to deliver the plan. Let’s be honest, it’s easy to feel motivated to set the goals, and even to start delivering the plan, but then stuff happens.

Maybe a difficult customer knocks your confidence. Maybe a sale didn’t come off that you were counting on. Maybe a member of your team didn’t perform as well as you expected. You start to doubt yourself and step back from working the plan.

Step 5 is having accountability in place. What will happen if you don’t achieve your goals? Will anyone but you know?

There is a magic in holding yourself accountable to an external source that keeps you making progress, even when things get difficult and challenging.

If you’re really serious about achieving your goals in your business this year, then one way to ensure all of these five steps are in place is to join my Business Growth Masterplan programme, starting 11th January.

This isn’t for new business start-ups – it’s for business owners who have already been going for a little while and are feeling like they’ve hit a plateau and aren’t sure how to break through it.

Or they want to make a big step change in their business and don’t know where to start.

Or simply to feel back in control and stop feeling like the business is running them.

You can see an overview of what’s involved in this 12 week business coaching programme, and simply reply to this email if you’d like to know more or book-in a call to have a chat about it.

Wishing you a successful 2024.
